When's the last time you gave your mechanic a $20 tip? Well, unless you are Warren Buffet maybe, probably never. I am grateful to have a local, full service gas station with a staff that actually cares. Thank you guys for helping me get out of self-inflicted issue on Saturday and over-delivering by getting my car back the same day when expertly set my expectations that you would more than likely not get it back until Monday.

As always and the reason I bring my vehicle to u........EXCELLENT! Just one word is needed.

We finally found that fabled "trusted mechanic." Paul and his team at the Medlock Gulf are fair, reasonable, and completely trustworthy. A number of times, we have brought our car there, concerned about a potentially costly problem, only to have them tell us it's a quick, cheap fix, or not actually a concern at all. In other words, we've shown up fully prepared to open our wallets to them, and they've turned us away. How often does that happen?Most recently, they not only handled our repairs for us but actively advocated on our behalf when we had to fix a Jiffy Lube oil change that went really terribly awry. Paul got on the phone with Jiffy Lube's rep and helped us convince them that they needed to make our situation right. Without him, I seriously doubt that situation would have been resolved as well as it was.Overall, great service, friendly people, and fair prices. The only downside is they close kind of early (8pm) on weeknights, and aren't open for repairs on Sundays.

Great place to get routine maintenance done on my Toyota RAV4. Service is quick. Repairs are done competently. Everything is explained. Would recommend Medlock Gulf to anyone.

Excellent as always

It was a pleasant visit with great customer service. It is always frustrating for a female to take her car to the mechanic because we never know if out mechanical ignorance is being taken advantage of. Paul was patient with and did his best to quiet those fears.

It's great to have a reliable, honest service station right in our neighborhood.

Medlock Gulf is perfect! They fix the car, they fix it in a timely manner (24 hours or less), and they are super helpful in driving you home, picking you up, dropping off your car. Plus, they explain things--even if you don't ask!

Since their service, my car runs the best it has in months. They didn't suggest unnecessary maintenance. I appreciate that they don't scam customers. They were quick, friendly, and competent, while not gouging customers just because they have good reviews. There's another highly rated automotive service in Decatur -(Pure)- who charges far more for basic services and parts. Not going there again. Keep it up, Gulf!
